About Moose Mountain Lodge:

Moose Mountain Lodge is a large, secluded cabin surrounded by serene quaking aspen trees and various wildlife. This is the perfect place to stay during a ski weekend or a snowmobiling excursion.  Heber City is only 30 minutes from four acclaimed ski resorts in Park City and Provo.  Only a 5 minute drive from town to Soldier Hollow golfing or skiing in Midway. You can also enjoy year round scuba diving in an ancient crater with warm water all year in nearby Midway as well as horseback riding, horse drawn sleigh rides.  There is always plenty to do and see in this popular vacation area.

Moose Mountain is located less than one mile from the entrance to the Uinta National Forest, a prime location for snowmobiling. You can snowmobile right from the cabin.  Lots of area to ride and explore.  You can snowmobile over to the popular sledding hill in the area…..we’ll give you directions, easy to get to.  In fact you’ll probably see sledders on your way to and from the cabin.

This is a big cabin, it is perfect for families or friends to gather during the winter or summer. It sleeps 14 guests in beds with more sleeping available on couches. Moose Mountain is known for it’s relaxing atmosphere and great amenities. Has Satellite &  Wireless Internet.

Beds include:

  • Main Level: Master Bedroom with a King
  • Upstairs: Two  Bedrooms with a Queen and a Twin Bunk-bed
  • Downstairs:  Two bedrooms with Queens

Four-wheel drive access is mandatory in the winter. Sometimes chains are necessary, depending on the severity of the weather.

Moose Mountain is popular for Family Reunions/Vacations, Youth Group Retreats, Scrapbooking Retreats and any gathering of large groups.

    Golf Vacation

    Our group of six adult friends spent a wonderful week at this home the end of July 2010 so we could play golf in and around Heber City. We all agreed that the Moose Mountain Lodge vacation rental was a great place to relax and enjoy ourselves. The home’s kitchen was well-equipped with most everything we wanted as a couple of people in the group are semi-gourmet chefs. The layout of the home enabled us to gather together when we wanted and yet provided each of us with some privacy when we chose. The location was so beautiful with plenty of deer wandering through the yard and yes, we saw the bull moose just across the street. We loved the swing and rocker on the deck as that seemed to be our favorite gathering place. The home was well-maintained and very clean. Most of the movies provided are geared towards children so if you want more adult-centered movies you should take your own. Our group has rented vacation homes in other places and agreed that this was the best property we’ve found.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

    We had a reunion with family from as far away as Hawaii and 3 other States. The ages from the group ranged from 1 yr. to 84! Everyone was thrilled with the beautiful cabin – the wild animals and especially the Moose that were so close by. A real thrill! Clean – comfortable – a great experience for one and all!For a couple of days the roads leading to the cabin were really wash-board and tricky. The last day they graded it and brought in dirt and it was much nicer for the travel. The directions given did not include the detour that we had to take—but we found it and had a geat time. Yes! we would recommend it to those wanting to be in the beautiful aspens and Moose Mountain!!!!!
